I feel Ye on this one. I bet we will have a movie about Beyonce career later on in life. The girl does it all. Acting, modeling, singing, dancing, writing, she looks 100 times better. And she is not stopping. Number 1 on the charts right now and every time u turn around you waiting on her next song. And wait this just in. She has a possible oscar nominated role in cadillac records Even though Tina got 200 mill sold. Beyonce is on her way too at 75 million sold. And people dont even buy album like that anymore. Tina Turner is one of our greatest legends but I agree with Kanye. Compare Tina's sales to Beyonce's sales and you have a winner. Beyonce has more hit songs than Tina did after she went solo and left Ike. Truth be told the only reason Tina is still here is because the "Whats Love Got to Do With It?" movie put alot of attention back on her and she came back hard with those two hit songs in the 80's. Cause before that Tina was always small time compared to her superstar peers Aretha, Patti, and Diana.
Her overall career is dwarfed by Beyonce's. Beyonce has accomplished more in a shorter period of time, has a stronger voice, and can pretty much do everything Tina did or does live on stage maybe even more.
I think sometimes we're tempted to say so-and-so is not greater than so-and-so because so-and-so has been our for forty years longer. But just because you've been out longer doesn't mean you get a free ride on the accomplishment chart.
Beyonce is the new Tina Turner. And her career far overshadows her idol Tina's on a plethora of levels.

We are so hesitant to admit that a new age singer has surpassed it's mentors just because we hold them with such high regard. But he is completely right and quite frankly Beyonce has surpassed a number of artists that were once upon a time the "IT" bitch in the music industry, including Tina Turner.
You complain thats she has been in your face for 10-12 years straight but the fact she has remained relevant that long when so many other chicks have come and gone during that time, proves she is a force to be reckoned with. She is respected by critics, fans, and her music peers alike (despite what the blogs try to portray...especially black blogs). Fast foward 20 years from now new artists will be saying they were greatly influenced by Beyonce like the artists of today say about Tina. Hell I can name a few who say it now. Jasmine Sullivan, Leona Lewis, Adele, and Taylor Swift have all said Beyonce has influenced them.

Lets be real the difference between Beyonce and Tina isn't talent. Its that Beyonce hasn't created anything that classic or timeless. All of her music is fast food r&b created to sell for the few months that shes promoting whatever product or movie that she's currently being paid for. Tina has created songs that will continue to be played for their value, something Beyonce has yet to learn.

Clearly, you have never heard any of her albums all the way through. But then again I'm guessing your not a fan so you have probably never purchased one of her albums before. She has timeless songs she just never releases them as singles. Flaws and All, Dangerously in Love, Resentment, Listen, Yes, etc. Those are old tracks.
Her new album is full of songs with substance and value. She made a effort to do so this time around. Check it out...

Dont reduce her down to "fast food r&b". You have her mixed with the T-Pains, Chris Browns, and Rihannas of the world. If her music was that, then I dont think she would have lasted as long as she has.

Kanye needs to shut the fuck up now im tired of his bullshit. he was good when his first and second CD came out...third one was okay...and this last one is the selling out point of his career. hes now there with the akons and t-pains of the industry. R.I.P. the OLD Kanye West.
