Kat Williams A No-Show At This Years BET Hip-Hop Awards, T-Pain Mysteriously Takes His Place, And The Rumors Fly....

I just got in moments ago from the BET Hip-Hop Awards and this year's host, Kat Williams, was a no-show. T-Pain took his place, but now the rumors are swirling. And you know that's where I come in.
OK, SOHH why am I hearing three rumors surrounding the disappearance of
Kat Williams? Word on the street is that the watered down version of
Dave Chappelle [yeah I said it] was supposed to host the third annual BET Hip-Hop
Awards, but that a heated argument with one of the HNIC's over at BET
resulted in the "comedian" getting cut from the show.
I am also
hearing that BET's noted blogger, Low Key, could be covering up the
unexpected "cut" ensuring that Kat's absence doesn't overshadow the
weekends festivities.
Here's what Low Key put on his BET blog today:
Says Stephen Hill, "So we were all hanging out last night and Katt bets T-Pain couldn't
beat him in a break dance battle. Not knowing T-Pain was an extremely
DOPE break dancer, Katt thought it was an easy win. T-Pain said if I
win, I get to host the Hip Hop Awards."
Judging by this post, I'm guessing you've figured out what the outcome of the battle was. [Source]
I've been in this business TOO damn long not to be able to spot a
cover-up when I see it. I just wish they could've been a little bit
more creative.
However,
there's another rumor that Kat got arrested, and that's the reason why
he didn't show up. But, I contacted all my police connects, and
they have no arrest of Kat Williams on record.
Plus, I heard him acting
as substitute radio host on DJ Drama's "Gangsta Grillz" radio program while driving home from the event SOHH at this point I don't know what's going on...
[Update]
I told you all that there was a cover up. I spoke to a Kat Williams connect who informed me that Kat and BET's production manager got into it over the creative aspect of the show. Apparently the production manager from last year opted out of doing it again this year. And Kat kept butting heads on the material for the show.
So I hear Kat called up and told him that he was bowing out as host, which left BET scrambling to find another host at the last min.
Why lie about something as silly as this? It's not a good look for Stephen Hill or Low Key to get involved with silly cover-ups.
The truth sounds much better, doesn't it?
Again, this is all unconfirmed ish. I'm just keeping you in the know. Don't shoot the messenger.
