DJ Kay Slay Is Having The Worst Week Ever, Diss Record From Jay-Z Going At Fat Joe Is Fraudulent!

Posted on October 10, 2008 9:39 AM

It looks like some people are so starved for gossip that people are starting to make sh*t up.

Last night me and a bunch of industry peeps were all chatting on Twitter about a supposed new Uncle Murda & Jay-Z track that "premiered" on HOT 97's Kay Slay's radio program. The diss record, "he asked for it" was supposedly aimed at overweight lovers [no homo reference intended], Fat Joe and DJ Khaled.

But what sense does that make?

The moment I listened  to the track, confusion quickly followed. Fat Joe's career is dead in the water SOHH whatever beef Jigga and he had back in the day I'm sure is over. And no disrespect to Khaled, but he's not on Jay's level in any way. So the idea that the multi-millionaire would select these two out of all the more relevant MC's out there didn't make any sense to me.

Well, luckily enough for us, Miss Info has dissected this shit and broken it down. It turns out someone is attempting to start a bogus beef. Surprise, Surprise

According to my friend of Asian persuasion with the entertainment info, the new track isn't new at all. And Jay-Z is wasting no time in clearing up the misunderstanding.

Jay is refuting the rumor. An inside source at Roc-A-Fella is saying:

THAT'S A FREESTYLE OFF A MIXTAPE FROM AROUND 5 YEARS AGO. MIGHT HAVE BEEN AROUND THE TIME OF S.CARTER [The sneaker and mixtape]. AND DJ KHALED WAS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE VERSE AT ALL.

And he's not the only one discounting this record. Just Blaze has chimed in as well:

"So for some reason people think this "new" Jay/Uncle Murda thing is a Fat Joe Khaled dis. It's not. It's also like 8000 years old and somehow dude got his hands on it and put a verse on it. Now that I recall, it's Blueprint 2 era..I was going to use this verse for the S.Carter Remix CD but we couldn't get the Pro Tools in time. Don't fall for the okeydoke."

Forget the fact that the sh*t is fake. The song is whack as hell anyway. But the biggest fool in this is DJ Kay Slay. It's not a good look for a DJ to get duped like this.

It looks like Kay Slay is having the worse week ever.
