Mariah Carey fans brace yourselves!

After a an entire summer of good public relations spin it looks like Def Jam is finally throwing in the towel for Mariah Carey's latest musical effort. Or have they?

There's a new report out that the struggling record label is sticking a fork in the project. To date MC's album has sold just over a million copies. E=MC2 pales in comparison to Mimi's last album The Emancipation Of Mimi.

After three failed singles it looks like it's a wrap for the top selling female star.

There's rumors that T-Pain and Mariah's collaboration is supposed to be the next single, but my source is telling me that "It's not going to happen. This project is a failure for Mariah."

Story Developing...

Why am I hearing that HBO may be interested in creating a new miniseries on the well known rise and fall of the Black Mafia Family? The industry buzz is that top tier cable station is heavy talks with John Singleton to create the series.

Would you watch this?

Call me crazy, but didn't Busta and Jimmy Iovine make up when the first reports started to come out that the MC was getting dropped from Interscope/Aftermath?

So why did I just get a call from one of my Universal connects who told me they are signing Busta to Universal Records.

I'm looking into this one some more and will keep you updated.
