Janet Jackson Leaves Island Def Jam?

Right on the heels of a strong concert buzz, word is hitting the streets that Janet Jackson is out at Def Jam.
While no word has been given as to what caused the sudden decision, I don't think that anyone is shocked by this info. The pioneering pop star has had some serious business stumbles these past few years with disappointing album sales.
It was rumored that Janet was snatched up by Island Def Jam for 20 million dollars. However, her CD sales haven't justified the investment.
I'm still sniffing around for more information on this one, so let's just keep it as talk for the moment. Here's a new video that's surfaced. Hit making producer, Rodney Jerkins, is saying that Janet has chosen to leave IDJ.
People are, of course, throwing Jermaine under the bus too. But I'm not going through that one again.
